Testimonials: A warm, comfortable and stylish apartment in an area with lots of amenities and with easy access to all of Edinburgh's attractions.
Jo, Devon - 11th February 2010 We loved this apartment! It had everything we needed including a stove, oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The furniture and decor was very new and modern. The owners of the place were very nice and even brought us some milk for coffee and tea when we arrived. It was excellent value for the money and a perfect place for a couple to stay.
Jillian, Canada - 15th December 2009 Really good value for money, great location, clean and tidy, warm, well-equipped, good communication from owner. Very good indeed.
Location
So much to do, just never enough time. We'll have to come back. Outstanding city!
Luke, Reading, England - 10th December 2009 Clean, attractive, well equipped and above all a most convenient location.
Location
excellent - very convenenient for castle, Princes Street and shopping
Helen, England - 28th October 2009 Found a flat/apartment on Lady Wynd to stay in after a conference in Edinburgh Dec 11-13, 2008. Conversed with the owners Jayne & Tony and got a good feeling which was verified by the stay. Good price and a great location for exploring, especially the medieval side of Edinburgh. This is the kind of place we look for when we travel: something clean, warm, and relaxing even though we don't plan to spend much time there. Thus, a good value--fair price for quality accomodations. LOTS nearby, from castle (which you look up at in awe from the Wynd, which is a narrow "street") to various historic tours to every kind of shopping you can imagine. It is away from the bustle of Princes street, which is a huge plus IMO. We were there in early December and treated to a parade for the snow queen by locals in the Grassmarket. We travel a lot, always try to find little places to stay that meet our high quality of expectations, and this is one that definitely does. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed out stay ay Lady Wynd. The accommodation really was outstanding, one of the best I have stayed in.
Location
The location was perfect. With the Grass Market on one side and the Castle on the other. We really enjoyed a trip on the open top bus, which took us around Edinburgh, and we learned so much of the history of Edinburgh.

A lovely, ideally located self-catering apartment, the perfect base for a weekend exploring Edinburgh. Mrs Ciancia was very contactable and efficient. It would have been great to know a little more information in advance like what would be provided (toilet roll but not milk) and where the switch for the marvellous jacuzzi bath is located. Overall a great place to stay, I'll be back!
Location
Our highlights were climbing up to Arthur's seat (beautiful views), taking the green bus tour (amazing guide who was totally comfortable adapting his tour to suit the audience!) and watching great live bands playing in the pubs at the top of grassmarket. Next time I'll give the american pizza place on grassmarket a miss though :s

Visitor Reviews of Lady Wynd -
5 Lady Wynd, apartment , was a delight to discover. It was incredibly well appointed, and offered every comfort and amenity for an extended stay. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, and I only wish all my friends were planning trips to Scotland so I could recommend to them this wonderful accommodation.
Location
5 Lady Wynd is a delightful location, just beneath the castle, just off of Grassmarket, and within easy walking distance to everything. The longest walk -- to Arthur's Seat -- was a splendid 40-minute walk to a spectacular hike to experience the wilderness side of Edinburgh. The most delicious walk was to Mother India's Cafe -- indian food served tapas style that was beyond yummy.

I have just started back at work today and I have made it my priority to drop you a line regarding our accommodation at your apartment in Edinburgh. I just wanted to let you know how very much we appreciated every small touch that has not been overlooked in your apartment. We appreciated all the small attention to detail, the welcome basket, the toiletries in the bathroom, the books and information, every single thing in the apartment was so well appointed. We loved every minutes of our time in your apartment and I just so regret that I did not book it for longer. I had been in Edinburgh two weeks prior to coming to your apartment and so regret that I did not come and stay in your apartment. It is more expensive than a lot of the other apartments I have stayed in but it was extremely comfortable. I truly hope that I will be able to stay there again some time in the future.
